내 자신 안에 있는 동굴로 더 깊숙이 들어가는 것이다.

그 깊은 동굴 속에서 들려오는

순수한 욕망이 내는 절규를 들으리라.

그 소리가 뜨거운 심장 가장 깊은 곳까지 파고들어

우주까지 울릴 공명이 되고 있는지를 느끼리라.

순수한 욕망이 들려주는 일을 할 수 없다면

차라리 죽음에 몸을 던지리라는 단호(斷乎)한 믿음도 건져올리리라.

밤의 가장 깊은 눈 속에 들어앉아 고요한 시간에 들으리라.

순수의 욕망이 내는 소리를...

나의 가난한 고독이 기다리는 가장 깊숙한 곳에서

삶의 낮은 자리를 차지한 헐벗은 시간까지도

나의 순수욕망은 끊임없이 차오르리라...

The way goes deep into my cave.

I hear the voice of pure desire in the deep cave.

I feel the sound digging deep into my hot heart,

resonating with the dark universe.

If I cannot do the work of my nature, my pure desire,

I will surely throw myself to death.

I sit in the deepest eye of night to hear in the most peaceful

time the sound of pure desire. I sit in the deepest place

where my poor solitude awaits.

Even when naked, when my time is occupied

by the harsh things of my life,

my pure desire for inner nature will constantly arise.
